IL-2 Sturmovik: Great Battles provides an air combat
environment that emphasizes WWII aircraft, but also includes WWI aircraft. It also uses
the same environment for WWII tank combat. This page
includes a list of Sturmovik-related links, including the developer's website, as well

Training
This provides an extensive list of training resources, including
webpages, PDFs, and videos. These are particularly useful for new virtual pilots.

Data Files
This provides a collection of data files that provide
custom aircraft skins, mods,
joystick control configurations, and
mission files.
Voice Recognition
This includes information about using voice recognition tools
(such as VoiceAttack), which provide an excellent
means of supplemental control, especially with virtual reality simulations.
Discord
This includes information about using Discord, the all-in-one
voice and text chat tool. Discord is used to allow players to communicate via text chat
(before and after missions) or via voice (while flying).
