Discord

This includes information about using Discord, the all-in-one voice and text chat tool. Discord is used to allow players to communicate via text chat (before and after missions) or via voice (while flying).

For more information, see the Discord site.

Discord Channel

Before you can use VoiceAttack for air combat simulation, you will need an "invite" to join the server, such as "https://discord.gg/mxhqAr". This will allow you to connect to the server.

Push-to-Talk (PTT) Button

Although Discord may operate with a "hot mic" (a microphone that is always on/active), it works best in a simulation environment when a push-to-talk (PTT) button is used. In this case, the user holds down the PTT when speaking. When using the Thrustmaster T.16000M HOTAS (stick and throttle combo), it works well to map the PTT for Discord to the button on the lower right side of the throttle (Button #1). This can then be used along with a PTT for VoiceAttack (typically mapped to Button #2 on the stick). Users can thus use the throttle button to talk over Discord and use the stick button to talk to VoiceAttack.
