DCS World Aircraft Skins

This page provides aircraft skins (textures), grouped according to aircraft type.

How the Use These Skins

First, to get a larger view of any skin, simply click on the image of the aircraft. This will open a new window showing a larger view of the aircraft.

To use the skins, begin by downloading the zip file by clicking on the name of the aircraft.

Right-click on the zip file and select "Extract All..." You may select the desired location to place the files. Navigate into the folder until you see the "Liveries" folder. Copy the Liveries folder to your C:\Users\USERNAME\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta folder (where USERNAME is your username on the computer). The computer will warn you that the destination already contains a folder named 'Liveries'. Click the "Yes" button to merge the folder (which will copy the skin files).

If you are updating an existing skin, the computer may indicate that the destination already contains a folder named SKIN-NAME, where SKIN-NAME is the name of the folder for the skin. Click the "Yes" button to merge the folder. The computer may then warn that the destination has ## files with the same names. Click on "Replace the files in the destination" to over-write any previous files with the latest files.

The new aircraft skin should now be ready for use. Enjoy!

they attack and shoot him down ... everything else is rubbish."   -- Manfred von Richthofen, a.k.a. The Red Baron
